My Little Copycat

I seriously love being a Mum of a 31 month-old toddler. Ally was way challenging between 24 - 30 months. Talk about terrible twos.

Somehow, it seems that my little girl has outgrown her twos and turning more into a three year old kid. It’s even better since she started school earlier this year. Her speech development has improved tremendously.

She is able to speak in clearer sentences and I am also able to carry out interesting conversations with her now. Now and then, she will surprise us with new phrases too. It’s simply amazing.

This evening, I saw Daddy changed into his berms after his shower and so I asked where he was going.  He teased and said he is going to look for his “girlfriend”. I replied “How dare you?” with my arms on my waist. Ally was watching us when these took place. She was laughing and found it funny.

So I rallied Ally. And she did the same back to her Daddy. It was totally hilarious. I wished I had captured that scenario down on video. Well, maybe next time.

Ally is really a little drama queen. She loves pretend play or imitating us. And I love watching that and it never fails to tickle all of us.

Pinterest-Inspired

As a self confessed Pinterest addict, I have browsed through endless craft projects that left me in awe. I marvelled at the creativeness of the crafters. But the truth? It has got to be the time and effort put in for those stuffs. Seriously, I’m just not a big DIY-person or I’m just so not bothered with aesthetics. They are just not a priority on my life now.

However, I can’t deny the good feeling I get whenever I browsed through beautifully decorated homes. I love how the homes look personalised and cosy.

So with the new year resolution I had made (to myself), I decided to make something for hubby’s birthday. With the limited time and money I have and of course, Pinterest to my rescue, I found the perfect gift idea.

( Happy Birthday Babe! )
I can’t feel any prouder for myself. It’s definitely a great step I took to improve our lives together. I am hoping and definitely looking forward to more DIY photography/craft projects so that we can create a nice photo-wall in our bedroom.

Way Back Into Love

(Specially for my hubby and if you do read this, let me know.)

I have never tell him this but I can’t deny that I no longer love my hubby as much as I did while we were dating. Our relationship was passionate and all I wanted to spend all (or almost) my waking hours with him. He was my best friend, soul mate and lover. There is no where and way I want not to be with him.

Just three years later and a kid, I must confess that passion and affection had dwindled.

Kisses and hugs or different forms of physical intimacies are lesser or non-existance.

We can go a whole day without texting each other.

I can’t recall when was our last date. Yes, a real date where we just soak up into each other’s company and me not thinking too much about Ally. It’s hard but I will try.

We stop giving gifts though we are not big on that. But small gifts of gesture are nice and thoughtful. I can’t even name anything he needs or wish to have.

Of course, I do sense how we are drifting away from each other and I’m sure he knows it too. It’s obvious. The problem probably lies in me. I am consumed by the exhaustion of work, parenting a toddler, stress of “money not enough” and getting a roof for ourselves.

Life’s challenging.

But nonetheless, it shouldn’t stop us from smelling the roses.

Today while we were walking back from breakfast, Ally took our hands and put them together. She wanted us to hold hands. We did and she smiled. She loves to see us getting lovey.

She is really cute in this way and is our little cupid. Well after all, our love for each other is the reason she is here.

I know it’s time we need to find our way back into love.

( Those days ... and in need to find this affection back! )
So my resolution for this year or whatever it is, to find my way back into love with hubby. To love, support and standby my soulmate.

Have fun in this journey of life together.

Always Believe

I came across this quote “The most dangerous lies are the lies you believe about yourself.”

I can’t agree more. Especially those negative ones.

Someone told me once that I was not quite able to make it. But I’m glad I held on to my dreams, gave it one more shot, told myself that I could and I did.

Be positive.

Write The Book You Want To Read

It’s been awhile since I last blogged. Life’s been good. Ahh... Just that I got really lazy to keep up with blogging.

It’s official. I have come to realise that I can never blog with datelines, follow a blogging project, a blog train or whatever now. It’s hard to give a dateline to a passion. It takes the fun out of doing it.

Blogging is supposed to be enjoyable. Sometimes, I felt miserable when I have to blog because I have to and not when I want to. Sometimes I have a blogger’s block.

I just got a kind reminder from a fellow mum blogger who reminded me to blog for Ally’s sake.

Yes, I like that.

It doesn’t necessary have to be a long essay or filled with watermarked or edited photos.

I’m gonna just blog because I want to and things I am passionate about.

 ( can’t agree more )

Wordless Wednesday: The Ally’s Way (Getting Of A Bench)

There’s this new game show that is airing on TV which is “101 ways to leave a gameshow”. I saw the trailer and first reaction was “OMG!”.

So here we have our own version, not leaving a game show, but 1 of the ways to ... Get off a bench. The Ally’s way.
