Home Surf

Lately, we have been (trying) looking around for a place to call home. Yes, after married for a year and a toddler at 2, we have not gotten a place of our own. If you are Singaporean, you would understand the plight we are in.

It's just so freakin tough to get a place that is convenient, accessible, nice and reasonbly priced right here in our tiny island. You pay exorbitant prices to the sellers just for flats that are strategically located near train stations or with amenities around.

But they can be freakin old and run down too.

However, ideas like this just brighten my day. Knowing that all it takes is some eye for creativity and design.

Ahhh ... All it takes is a fresh coat of paint and soft furnishings to work the magic. How excited I am to finally get a place of our own and making it lovely and cosy.

I am one of those that got the HDB very very early, even before our ROM. For us, it was something like a no choice. We work at a 鸟不生蛋place and we need to find a place nearby so that we could settle the issue of infant care and then childcare.

But somehow, I kinda regretted diving into the decision to get the place I am in. Not a very ideal location. We need to walk a minimum of 15 mins to get to a nearby mall or MRT.

5 years is coming soon for us and the option is open to shift. But damn, the price is crazy now. Besides, we are thinking whether we NEED to shift for the sake of Primary 1. Hmmm....sigh~

Same here same here! But most likely wont move yet till I've baby #2 cos I cannot imagine moving when I am pregnant or lugging along a tiny little baby. Oh and if you're wondering, no, I'm not pregnant yet but I'm aiming for my #2 next year.. haha =)

Yeah exciting time for you guys then. I'm thankful that we got our flat earlier before property prices started to get crazy crazy high. I love the location too much to want to shift though it means we're near to neither set of parents.
